2024-2025 SABRE HOCKEY ASSOCIATION GIRLS HOCKEY



The Sabre Girls Hockey Program, led by Girls Hockey Director, Jordan Diamond and a staff of knowledgeable and experienced coaches, has a lot of excitement going into the 2024-2025 Season. The Sabres will be fielding teams at the 10U, 12U, 14U, 16U, and 19U levels that will compete in the Northern Illinois Hockey League (NIHL), with our 14U, 16U, and 19U teams eligible for National competition. We will also seek to enter all our teams into prestigious tournaments to provide our players with the highest level of competition and exposure.

*A Non-Refundable $300 Tryout Fee will be due at the time of registration (included in pricing above). 

**Additional team slush funds will be required for Tournament Fees and Travel Budgets.

Our Girls Program is structured to provide players with comprehensive training and development opportunities. Program fee includes:

• Coaches
• Uniforms (Game Jerseys, Pant Shells, Socks, and Practice Jerseys)
• Player Package: Tee Shirt and Shorts
• Ice Time (Games & Practices)
• League & Referee Fees
• Bi-Weekly Skills Clinics
• Weekly Goalie Clinic

Our Girls Program offers a Big Sister/Little Sister Mentor Program. The program provides role models and mentorship for our younger players. The program includes multiple activities and outings throughout the season, including holiday activities, team activities and support at practices and on game day.

Following tryouts, registrants will receive an email to confirm their players roster spot and complete registration based on the program their player was placed in. The program cost can be paid in full or a payment plan of 6 months can be set up at that time. Payments will be automatically deducted on 9/27, 10/27, 11/27, 12/27, 1/27 & 2/27. 

Game times and locations will vary by week with most games being played on weekends, with the possibility of a weeknight based on necessity. Scheduling can fluctuate due to variables such as holidays, team photos and loss of club ice due to functions like tournaments and showcases. The grid below represents team schedules during any regular week.

SABRE TRAVEL TRYOUT SCHEDULE & INFORMATION

Tryout/evaluation groups will be assigned based on previous hockey experience. Group assignment will be visible in Crossbar 3 days in advance of the first scheduled session for tryouts/evaluations. Coaches may make changes to tryout groups based on performance during the process and Crossbar will be updated with those changes.

GENERAL INFORMATION

• ROSTERING: Sabre players cannot be rostered on more than one youth hockey team, with the exception of girls playing on a youth (co-ed) team and a Sabre player who plays on a high school team.
