2024-2025 SABRE HOCKEY ASSOCIATION MIDGET HOCKEY PROGRAM

The Sabre Midget program continues to offer the highest level of Tier 2 hockey in the country, providing players the environment and leadership they need. The Midget staff, led by Chris Chelios, is dedicated to giving players an exit strategy to move on to the next level, whether that be AAA hockey, or finding the right post-youth hockey path for a well-balanced student athlete. The 2024-2025 season will showcase 4 Midget teams in the Central States Developmental Hockey League (CSDHL). 18U, 16U, 15O, and 16U Prospects.

**Additional team slush funds will be required for Tournament Fees and Travel Budgets.

ONE TIME ADDITIONAL COST FOR NEW SABRE MIDGETS ONLY

The Sabre Midget program requires purchase of core carry bags and duffle bags, as well as warm ups as part of a team order. In addition, Coach Chelios requires a weight vest for some practices. These are relatively easy to find and can be purchased on the internet or at a local sports equipment store.

Following tryouts, registrants will receive an email to confirm their players roster spot and complete registration based on the team their player was placed on. The program cost can be paid in full or a payment plan of 7 months can be set up at that time. Payments will be automatically deducted on 8/27, 9/27, 10/27, 11/27, 12/27, 1/27 & 2/27. 

All Sabre Midget players are required to complete baseline testing with our club trainer, Pro Sports and Rehab. Pro Sports and Rehab supplies a team trainer for all home games and must have a baseline test on each player as a proper reference point. The test is provided for FREE, and you can be in and out within 15 minutes. Please schedule an appointment ASAP.

All teams will target a number of Tournaments and Showcases to further strengthen their schedule in an effort to enhance both team and player development. Attendance is mandatory (with the exception of players who are injured) at all tournaments for all games, which, at times, requires school absences.

ROSTERING: Sabre players cannot be rostered on more than one youth hockey team, with the exception of girls playing on a youth (co-ed) team and a Sabre player who plays on a high school team.
